Bowling with Buddies

A few weeks ago we got together for a fun filled day with our friends Tom and Becky and their little boy Ben. Ben is the same age as Logan and so the 3 boys always have a great time together no matter what we do! But on this day after eating lunch and playing at the park we decided to take the boys Bowling!! It was not their first time but it was so much fun none the less. Logan actually did really well and ended with a score of 70!! Amazing!! Here are some pictures from the day! Enjoy!

Bronze

Today is Jason's and My 8th wedding anniversary. Apparently we are suppose to get eachother something Bronze. Huh?! LOL! Instead we got eachother a card; telling eachother how much we love one another. Sweet huh? Really tho, how in the heck have we been married for 8 years?! Unreal! We have been together for 11 years which is even more crazy! We met in May 1998. I had just broken up with a boyfriend not too long before that and I was living with my grandma and grandpa for the summer. (might not sound like fun to you; but my grandma rocks and I even had my own car to drive around all summer!!) Anyways, I was working but living in a REALLY small town there really wasn't much to do. I was happy they at least had internet. Dial up...but it was internet! So one night I decided to get online....20 minutes later and a load of laundry later (remember good old dial up days...??? Ahhhhhh) I started "Surfing the web". I decided to check out these new fangled "Chat rooms" to see what all the hubub was about. I went to a "20" somethings room for people from Wisconsin. (This wasn't a DATING site; it was just an Excite chat room; PRE-Match.com days!) I had been on there for an hour or so when I got a PM from this guy I believe his "Name" was irace17. We started talking and talking and talking. Before I knew it about 5 hours had gone by. I needed to go to bed! Well, the next day/night and the next and the next (you get the picture) we talked. Let me tell you; we talked about everything and anything. It is amazing how well you can get to know eachother while chatting. After a good couple of weeks of chatting we started calling eachother on the phone and talking. We'd first go into the chat room and talk and then I'd call him or he'd call me and again, we would be up all night talking on the phone.
Then one night out of the blue without ever seeing 1 single picture of one another Jason told me he thought he was falling in love with me. I felt the same way. It was weird tho; how could you feel that way about someone you had never met?! Strange; but they were true feelings. So we decided it was time to meet. We set up a weekend and decided I would drive to Madison to meet him. I got a hotel room to stay in even tho he told me I could stay at his house. I figured it would be better to have a hotel room; just in case. Here's the part I feel guilty about. I lied to my grandma. I told her some girlfriends and I were going to Madison for the weekend and I'd be back Sunday. She never even knew about Jason really. My 12 year old cousin Erin did tho! I told her where I was really going and gave her Jason's number and address and told her if I wasn't back by a certain time on Sunday she could tell Grandma and then call the police. Yeah smart huh? Thankfully everything turned out ok. Anyways, the night before we were going to meet at East Towne Mall we sat on the phone and told eachother what we were going to be wearing. LOL! Because remember we had no clue what one another looked like! I was so nervous and excited!!! I couldn't wait to meet him! The next day I packed up the car and off I went! I was never scared to meet him. I got to the mall and scoped out a spot around the area we said we would meet. I figured if I saw him and he was "Scary" looking I could sneak out without him knowing. LOL! But then there he was. And OMG I was seriously like WHAT?! THAT is the guy I have been talking to?! HE IS HOT!!! LOL!! I got up and walked over to him and we both hugged and said hi. Then we stood there for a minute; just looking at eachother. Then Jason said, "Wanna walk around?" LOL! So we did. Within 10 minutes we were holding hands...it felt so right and natural. Something we had done for years! The conversation flowed like we had been together forever. Then it happened...we walked into Boston Store and by the Scooby Doo boxers he kissed me. LOL! It was so sweet. And from that moment on we were together EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND!! The summer of 1998 was one of the best summers ever. It was such a care-free time. I look back at it with fond memories!
Whew! Anyways, I just wanted to wish my sweet hubby happy 8 years! I love you so much Jason!! And I hope we are together for 50 more!!!! Love you Baby!

Graduations and Bay Beach!

Last week my sister Stephanie graduated from High School!! I can't believe she is going to be a Freshman in college next year! I swear I was just in college...ugh...getting old is for the birds! The boys and I drove up to Green Bay with my grandma in her super cool van (Seriously, this van rocks! Has built in DVD player and Sirius Radio!) and stayed at my mom's house for the night. The boys had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We don't get up there nearly enough; so it was nice to spend time up there. The graduation was Friday night. Grandma took us all out to dinner at a nice restaurant and then we headed off to the graduation! Steph's class had about 501 students that were graduating; so yeah it was a LOOOONG ceremony. Started at 8pm and ended around 10 I think. The boys did great tho; helps when you have grandma, grandpa, great grandma and an aunt and uncle around to keep you happy and busy! Here are some pictures from the night.

Preschool Graduate!

Aidan's last day of preschool was on Thursday! I am not really sure how to react! Of course I am so happy and excited for him. I mean this is HUGE! He is starting the next chapter in his life; kindergarten! I honestly cannot even fathom that he is old enough to go off to kindergarten. I remember when he was born I looked at him and how small he was (18.5 inches and 6 pounds 10oz in case you were wondering.) and thought he'd be my small little baby FOREVER!! Everyone would say, "Enjoy them while they are small; it is such a short amount of time." Of course as a new mother; deliriously happy and from lack of sleep you just shake your head and say "Sure they do!" Little did I know what they were telling me was 100% the truth! It feels like I blinked and he is this little boy who can read a little, who has friends and is funny! He has such a great sense of humor and makes me laugh everyday! He loves to dance, tell jokes, sing and about a million other things! He is his own person! When did that happen?? He yells at me and tells me I am not the "bestest mother in the whole world because you won't let me color on your couch!" LOL! Makes me know I am doing my job as a parent I guess? LOL! Anyways, I am so proud of him. And in 3.5 short months I will be dropping him off at KINDERGARTEN! I am sure I will be a blubbering fool that day. But hopefully I will be in good company with the other mom's. Anyways, I just wanted to share that I now officially have a kindergartner! And I also wanted to share a few pictures.

And Aidan and his teacher Miss. Howell. She was such an awesome teacher!! Perfect for Aidan's first experience in school. She's young and full of energy!! Logan will have her next year for preschool!

Thanks for reading!! Wish us luck in September when he goes to kindergarten...ok who am I kidding; he'll be fine so wish me luck! LOL!

Finally...an update post!

So since I have people actually ASKING me to do a more recent post, I decided I would get on the ball and try to do one tonight! Warning, this is going to be LOONNG and going to have LOTS of pictures! You've been warned! So MOM and RHONDA this one's for you!! :-)

Let's see...
The boys have been doing swim lessons now for about 12 weeks. They both love it and are doing really really good! Aidan has moved up to the next class and Logan is in the same class he was in last session. That's good tho, they both need to be doing their own thing. Aidan can now swim on his back and on his front pretty darn good! They use these belts that have 2 floaty on them so that helps some, but he is well on his way to being able to swim without them! We will get him in the pool a lot this summer so by the time fall lessons come around he should have no problems swimming without a floaty! Logan is also doing really well! He has his stokes down but his teacher kept him in the same class this time around so he could work on his endurance some! Here are some pics of the boys during lessons!

And last week I had the pleasure of going with Aidan's class to Bounce U with Aidan's class. He had a great time and so did all the kids. It was his class plus the Kindergarten class and I think one more preschool class from his school.

Aidan has a girlfriend at school. Her name is Carly and I am pretty sure they are really going to miss eachother next year since they won't be in the same school anymore for kindergarten. She is wearing the pink shirt and white pants. She is such a cute little girl!

Many Prayers needed

Not for me but for sweet Stellan. I don't know if you remember over the summer when MckMama was pregnant with Stellan who while in his mommy's tummy had many heart problems and they were told would not live through being born. Well, it was a complete miracle that he did live and was very healthy when he was born!! But over the weekend, he became very sick and is now in the PICU with a VERY fast heartbeat. It is very dangerous and they need to get his little heart to relax some. So please pray for this family.

Kindergarten

How is it possible that we just took Aidan on Monday and registered him for Kindergarten next year?! I don't think it is possible that I am old enough to have a school aged child! LOL!! It was a bittersweet day that's for sure!
